The Amit & Deepali Sinha Foundation (“the Foundation,” “we,” “us”) operates sinhafoundation.org and the Sinha Foundation Physics YouTube channel, @SinhaPhysics. This policy explains what we collect and the choices you have. We do not sell personal information, run advertising, or use analytics or tracking on this site.
What we collect
Browsing. You do not need an account to use this site. Our host records standard server logs, including IP address and pages visited, for security and diagnostics.
Contact form. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive your name, email address, and message, and use them only to reply.
Watching lectures. Videos are hosted on YouTube. Lecture thumbnails are served from our own site, and no YouTube content loads until you press play, so YouTube sets no cookies on this site unless you choose to watch. Once you press play, or if you visit YouTube directly, your activity is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and YouTube’s Terms of Service. We do not receive your YouTube account information, comments, or viewing history.
YouTube API Services
Our internal publishing tools use YouTube API Services to upload and manage videos, captions, and playlists on our own channel. By using YouTube API Services, we are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
These tools access only the Foundation’s own channel data. They do not access, collect, or process data belonging to other YouTube users, channels, or viewers, and they store only what is needed to publish, such as video IDs and publish dates.
You can review or revoke this access at any time from the Google security settings page.
Services we rely on
- Cloudflare hosts the site, serves the lecture slide PDFs from files.sinhafoundation.org, and keeps server logs.
- Web3Forms delivers contact form submissions to us by email.
- hCaptcha protects that form from automated abuse.
- Google Fonts serves the site’s typefaces, which discloses your IP address to Google on page load.
- YouTube hosts and serves the video content.
We share personal information with no one else, except where required by law or to protect the rights or safety of the Foundation or others.
Retention
We keep contact form messages only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. Server logs are kept briefly for security, then deleted or anonymized.
Children
Our content is written for a general audience, including students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site. Commenting or subscribing on YouTube is subject to YouTube’s own age requirements and privacy practices.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
